A really good one is Vampire by People In Planes. Its one of my favorites!!
My all time favorite is by my favorite gals, Rasputina. These chicks are incredible. I’m going to do a whole post about them.
Transylvanian Concubine. It’s on their “Thanks for the Ether” album. Also can be found remixed with Marilyn Manson on “Transylvanian Regurgitations”.
“You’ll become a Transylvanian Concubine. You know what flows there like wine…”
Here’s the song with some great images:

I left a really long comment here, but I think your spam filter must have gotten to it, because it included links. If you can’t find it, I’ll just reiterate that my favorite vampire song is “Transylvanian Conbubine” by Rasputina. Sooo lovely.
“Nosferatu!” by Dr. Kucho (Gothic tech-house)
By the way….contrary to my above comment, there’s no such thing as a “conbubine”. Heehee! Go to youtube and look up Transylvanian Concubine.
Hi guys, thanks for the contributions! I’m on my way to YouTube now…
I would have to say I like Evanescence best then Concrete Blonde
I happened to stumble upon your site. I mean no offense to anyone. My question is why are so many people focused on vampirism, a thing that does not exist except in ones mind? Is it because of the television shows? Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts. May the Spirit assist, guide and enlighten you.
I made a vamp based mixed tape once. I cant remember everything but Garbage #1 Crush was the first song.
Evanescence is a cool pick indeed….
And the songs from Queen of the damned….Im a bit obsessed with the Lestat music videos. Love ‘System’ and ‘Forsaken’
I need to say a big thanks Cheryl – In your Ad banner I found new prints of ‘The vampire Diaries’ plus a new book! I was utterly obsessed with these!
Hi, Aquarial, Id like to offer you an answer.
Vampirisim is a metaphor for many things in the human psyche. There is a duality – that the vampire is not at all the living person it once was, but still holds its aspects. It is like a mirror image that is in reverse – someone sweet and loving in life becomes a vicious killer while maintaining aspects of that personality.
There is also the fact that humans ‘feed’ off each others energy, and some are worse than others, so the drinking of blood/life is a fantastic metaphor for the human race and our struggle for power against each other.
Aside from that, there are many legends that support the fantasies – like any fantasy creature you can imagine, vampires have a base in actual history. Its the mystery and the fantasy that fascinates, I believe.
Hi Aquariel Charm, no offense taken
I think Kleo summed it up very well. It’s like many peoples love of mythology and legends. Also, for me at least, I love things that scare me. Although I love the sexy element that comes into vampire stories for me I like the monster element. The stuff of nightmares and vampires as monsters – the scarier the better. I also like zombie stories and horror movies.I like the scare factor while being safe in the knowledge that they aren’t real but can still bring a chill to your spine. But I also love things like Harry Potter with wizards and such. Fantasy is just a fun outlet.
Kleo, I love your take on it. It’s very true, vampirism is very much a metaphor for the darker parts of our humanity. Many of the TV shows and movies touch on this. It’s lovely to see you here Kleo! Thanks for stopping by, I’ll definitely check out the music you suggested.
