Sarah Michelle Gellar (now known as Prinze) and hubby Freddy Prinze Jr welcomed a new baby girl Charlotte Grace on Saturday September 19. A rep for the couple said,”the family is over the moon.”
Thirty two year old Gellar and 33-year-old Prinze met in 1997 on the set of “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” They married in 2002 after dating for two years. As a gift to her husband for their fifth wedding anniversary Sarah Michelle officially changed her last name to Prinze.
Although no baby photos have been released as yet, I’m sure with such gorgeous parents, Charlotte will be a little beauty. I’m sure we all congratulate them on the new addition to their family.
When interviewed by Access Hollywood she said why she felt it was important to wait for the right time to start a family. “When we do have children, my husband and I will have such a strong foundation because we’ve given our relationship time to grow,” she said. “I try to go into everything with an open mind, but it’s much more than I thought it would be. The partnership grows to such a different level. And all my life, it was just my mom and me, us against the world; so to let someone else in and to have another partner was hard for me. Now he’s my partner, my best friend, and my husband.”
The couple announced the pregnancy in April.
Sarah Michelle certainly looked great throughout her pregnancy and they seem to have a really stable Hollywood marriage.

I love seeing this because Hollywood seems to be so hard on relationships. These two go to show that it is possible to survive in the spotlight. And they look very happy. Congrats to them!
