My Awakening

Darkness.

I taste dirt. There is dirt in my mouth and dirt in my nose.

Oh my God I can’t breathe.I realise I don’t have to.

I’m in the ground – oh Lord I’m buried. I can feel the weight of the earth on my body. How can I be alive if I’m not breathing? What is happening? I have to get out! I start to scratch and claw at the dirt that envelops me. Finally my fingers break through and I can hear my heart rapidly beating (more. . .)

True Blood – Marketing Genius

The folks at HBO used a very unique campaign to advertise the arrival of True Blood. It was mainly viral marketing which worked enormously well for them. Billboards started popping up all over the world advertising “Tru Blood” such as these:

Night Watch (Nochnoy dozor)

Gellar reprised her role of Daphne in the Scooby Doo sequel and went on to scare the pants off us in the American remake of the Japanese horror film Ju-On: The Grudge – known just as The Grudge for the Western (more. . .)

Vampire Bill Compton – Drop Undead Gorgeous

Bill Compton – or Vampire Bill as the Bon Temps locals call him – is one sexy vampire. From the moment he walked into Merlotte’s and swept Sookie Stackhouse off her sneakered feet, Bill has slowly but surely started winning over the townsfolk. Well, at least some of the townsfolk. The ones who don’t want to drain him or stake him.

Bill is deep and brooding with pale skin and dark haunted eyes. Eyes that have seen a lot in his 173 years on earth. He lived (more. . .)

True Blood…

In deep and swampy Bon Temps, rural Louisiana, a tall dark and handsome stranger walks into Merlotte’s bar making Sookie Stackhouse’s heart beat just a little faster because this cool customer’s heart doesn’t beat at all. He’s Bill Compton – gorgeous, brooding and very undead.
